BIG Boy

On Sunday, I left Dennis on the floor in his room to play with his toys and when I came back he was under the crib trying to get a tiny piece of garbage that he saw. You can see it in this picture.Tah-dah! He got it! It's in his fist.

I gave him a bottle the other night and he used his feet and his hands to feed himself. SO CUTE!

Camille's visit

Super fun! We had such a great time with Ryan's sister Camille. One of the highlights was the zoo... as always. But, this time I saw soooo many new things. I never knew you could go inside with the giraffes! They were huge. Most often quote of the hoofed animals, "whoa, that's a male."
The birds were amazing! I had never been inside the bird house! There were so many cool birds... here is just one. camels are weird.

The tigers were so active! Chasing each other around and pouncing on a log in the water. They were so entertaining.

We also worked in the garden on Saturday and put Camille to work... and took a bike ride to ted drewes frozen custard.... a must do in Saint Louis.

Miracle Dog

Yesterday, we had a repair man over fixing our garage door (because our car was locked inside) and when he left, he left the fence door open. Since the fence is always closed, nobody thought twice about letting Buster and Bruno outside... well... Buster was run over by a car with both wheels and only had cuts and bruises to show for it. He was quite sore but that's pretty good since the witnesses of the crash were sure that he wouldn't survive.

We are so grateful for our little miracle dog. We love him so much. It's funny because now I feel like I love our dogs more that we almost lost one.

For the very first time, Dennis rolled over from his back to his front. He has been rolling from his front to his back for a while now and rolling onto his side like in the beginning of this video. And, we got the first on video! So, lucky.

I forgot to include this one on the last post. Dennis is doing so good at sitting up!

the events of the day

In between conference sessions we went for a bike ride to Sonic for lunch. mmm... it was good. Dennis rode in his bike trailer and loved it! Though, he was kinda out of it after we got home...

Dennis was sitting up on the bed and fell over onto his knees! He stayed in the crawling position for quite a while...

I love his dimples.

Dennis has this thing where he loves to have something touching his face... Often, I find that Dennis will hide under something and just be totally content to lay there kicking his legs and laughing. And, he also loves this blanket that auntie fawn made for him... put the two together and Dennis is a nut.
