Priceless

*sitting on the front step in the warm spring weather with Dennis when a car pulls up with their ghetto rap music blasting and we break out into dance.

*trying to put Dennis back into bed at 2:30 in the morning after getting a dose of Tylenol for his molers and he clings around my neck hanging on for dear life hoping that I don't let go.

*driving up to our house after work and seeing Dennis's beaming smile at first sight of me.

*Dennis pulling off his clothes to get into the shower with you.

*I said, "you're mommy's baby"- He said, "baby" pause "mommy"

*seeing Dennis "help" daddy with whatever he is doing.

I'm LOVING life.

recent Dennis doings

Dennis loves to climb up onto this bench that we have infront of the windows. He loves to watch people outside and say, "woof" to the dogs that pass by. He loves his cars and will build a road out of train tracks to drive them on.

Sometimes he has to rescue his toys from under his crib.
He will push up a little white bench to the piano to boost him up to the seat. Then he will play for a long time. 10 minutes. And, it doesn't sound like a kid banging on the keys. He makes up songs playing one key at a time and sometimes his made up chords.

...just to name a few.

recent makings

After my first painting class (when I got all of my supplies), I ran home and made a bag to carry my art-board (for lack of a better name). But, I was intimidated by the zipper that I was going to put in and got bored making the straps. So, there it has sat... an unfinished bag for a year now. But, I finally finished it- with velcro instead of a zipper and put a liner in it. Basically I followed the same tutorial that I made my little snack bags with but just in a larger version. All of the fabric I got for free at a ward swap meet. Did I ever mention that I love hand-me-downs? And, I made some cool bean bags that Dennis LOVES. I made one and was surprised at how much Dennis enjoyed the feel that I quickly finished this project in one night. I look forward to doing math games with them when he gets older. (this was not my idea- I found it online somewhere but can't find the blog again.)
