February part 2

We love living close to cousins. We went to the Minnesota Zoo and had a blast.
Andrew LOVES animals. He would have stayed at any exhibit the entire time. He is just fascinated with all the new things that move. Even the birds were interesting to him.

Dennis loves making valentines for people. He's got a big heart.

Zola has started reading lessons! She is quickly catching on. She doesn't have a very long attention span and easily gets distracted mid sentence but she remembers things very well.
Dennis having fun with his fort kit that he got from Myer for Christmas.
 I love her hair~
 My valentines...
Dennis's favorite job to do is peeling wallpaper. What will we do when we don't have anymore?
Andrew is so good to sit up on the big stools all by himself. He knows that if he moves I will put him down. He definitely doesn't want that.
... But he did get a boo boo climbing on the basement couch. He fell off and hit the coffee table on the way down. It was pretty sad.

We took a winter cabin trip with our friends and cousins. It was soo much fun and perfectly warm for playing outdoors.

Owen got sad when his mom and dad took a sauna without him... no worries... I know the keys to his heart. We played kitty and I gave him a piece of gum. lonely blues gone.
The babies fell asleep in the ski trailer.

Zola practicing her letters... and wrote ihop on accident.
The kids wanted to play with our robot fish... so I put a bucket of water in the tub so that if it spilled it wouldn't be a big deal... well. I should have just filled up the tub.

Best decision for Zola to switch to morning preschool. Now she is talkative and social at school. She has a best friend Cecilia and she gets to ride the bus to school in the morning with Dennis. She is so happy.

Zola's 4th Birthday party

The best cupcakes ever! I made them from scratch for the first time... mostly because I didn't want to go to a store to buy cake mix. Lol. I tell people I was lazy and they give me a funny look. The frosting was even from scratch with real strawberries. I could eat a dozen of those babies.
She wanted a tea party. I like to use my grandma's china whenever we have company over. It makes it fun and special. However, the kids are always in the kitchen with normal plates and Zola really wants to eat with the pretty dishes every time. So, I let her do it for her birthday.
We served a warm cinnamon milk instead of tea. It was delicious.
 This was our spread.
It was amazing how quiet and well mannered those kids were. They were being so reverent with the fancy things.
Calvin, Hazel, Norah, Owen and Jordyn.
 we had a pinata.

Andrew LOVES playing with grandpa. He even brings him toys while he is napping.

February part 1

We had Thanksgiving at our house this past year... I don't remember if I posted these pictures... so these are just so that I don't forget them in the year books. Just missing Russ's kids.
Zola got some money for her birthday from Nonnie and Papa. She got to go to the store and pick out her own present. She loved it. She picked out this little pink computer.
 Zola playing in the snow!
Dennis got to go snowmobiling with his friend Brian. Our adult neighbor that is Dennis's Buddy.
 Andrew helping with dishes.
a last minute get together because Reed's family was in town unexpectedly.

Andrew saw the big kids sitting around so he joined in. He wedged himself in between Kevin and James.

 Norah, Janae, Zola and Andrew
 Kevin, Dennis and James
Andrew gets a little competetive if anyone snuggles with grandma or grandpa... He has to squeeze right in the middle. 0
We went to a play group at the mall with some friends but didn't move too fast once andrew saw all of those "balls".

 I love these faces!
