4.5 month check up with an update

Our sweet Zola went to the doctor today to have her 4 month check up at 4.5 months. She got 4 shots and a sticky drink. She was super happy for about 3 hours and then it kicked in. She was so sad. She cried harder than I have ever seen her cry and nothing would stop her- not even nursing. She is asleep now... with heavy sniffs every third breath. 

 She is growing very nicely. Her stats are- Height: 24.5 in/ Weight: 13 lbs 12 oz/ Head: 42 cm
She is in the 30% for both height and weight. We are super proud of her for that.

 Check out the super duper big brother. He is starting to have quiet time everyday. He can rest on his bed or read books during this time... it is very hard for him. I know he probably should get a haircut but it is so cute when it curls like this.

Some things that Dennis says:

While driving home from Minnesota he wanted ice and he asked over and over again for ice and the answer was no. D: "When somebody says they want ice, somebody gets them ice!"

Eloise said while playing at our house: "We are making a garden so these strawberries can get some exercise."

While eating food we often talk about what the food contains and how it can help our bodies.
D: holding a big piece of ground beef, "this has chicken in it because it has protein.
During a different meal-
D: What does milk have in it?
M: Vitamin D
D: Milk... milk.... milk.... no it doesn't. Milk doesn't have a D in it.

Zola continues to roll over from front to back but I cannot seem to capture it on film. She is a very happy girl who is quite sensitive. She will cry if she catches her arm on something... or anything of equivalent discomfort that can't be categorized as pain. She loves people and is very happy watching people and even happier talking to them. She doesn't like to be left alone. She loves her brother and watches him intently. She has found her toes. She loves to sit in the walker and watch us. She is an excellent sleeper. She rarely wakes up at night.
